Chocolate makes us happy! This chocolate cake recipe is full of sugar, flour, butter, and oil. Part of eating healthy doesn’t mean you have to completely eliminate all deliciousness out of your life. Bake this chocolate cake and invite all your family and friends over. After all, the name of this chocolate cake says it all!
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups whole wheat flour
- 3/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 cup almond milk or milk of choice
- 2 teaspoons of powdered instant coffee
- 2/3 cup coconut sugar or white sugar
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 pinch of salt
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips
- 1/2 teaspoon coconut oil
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Butter 9×13 pan.
- Combine all dry ingredients and wet ingredients separately.
- Add wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix.
- Pour batter into a pan and sprinkle with sugar
- Bake for 25 minutes.
- Combine coconut oil and chocolate on low heat until melted.
- Garnish with melted chocolate.
