Anderson’s Nutrition has exceptional RDNs that are trained in the science of nutrition but also in behavior management, providing a unique experience that delivers long-term, sustainable results.
Our approach is positive, encouraging, and supportive. Our practice is a judgement-free zone.
We see patients in person or nationwide for nutrition counseling via our private, easy to use, HIPAA-compliant platform that is accessible from a laptop, desktop, smartphone, or tablet.
Our RDNs have the experience and knowledge to assist a variety of clients including people with specific medical needs such as diabetes. We can work in partnership with a client’s physician for a holistic approach.
We are in-network for most major insurance companies.

What is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN)
A Registered Dietitian(RD) or Registered Dietitian Nutritionist(RDN) are credentialed by the Commission of Dietetic Registration(CDR) to be the food and nutrition experts.
A registered dietitian nutritionist is a food and nutrition expert who has met academic and professional requirements including:
- Earned a bachelor’s degree with course work approved by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics’ Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND). Coursework typically includes food and nutrition sciences, foodservice systems management, business, economics, computer science, sociology, biochemistry, physiology, microbiology and chemistry.
- Completed an accredited, supervised practice program at a health care facility, community agency or foodservice corporation.
- Passed a national examination administered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration.
- Completes continuing profession
The difference between a health coach or nutritionist
Dietitians typically have advanced degrees, extensive education, and training to understand how nutrition plays a role on the body. To become a health coach or a nutritionist does not require training, organization oversight, or specific standards.
How do I know if my medical insurance covers nutrition counseling?
Most insurance plans will cover nutrition counseling and medical nutrition therapy. Often times, our services are covered at 100%–HOORAY! Here at Anderson’s Nutrition, we do accept insurance. How do I make an appointment?
We are excited to meet you! We offer appointments Monday – Friday, 8-7 pm ET. You can choose to come into the office or use telehealth/virtual.
You have two ways to make an appointment.
