We have a full team of Registered Dietitian Nutritionists (RDN) to assist your kiddo from birth to adulthood. We focus on positive eating behaviors to grow healthy little humans. We also can educate and counsel on medical concerns or diseases that require nutrition intervention.

A balanced nutrition plan and positive language around food support pediatric health.

Baby

Healthy Eating

Starting at a young age with positive feeding set up the foundation for growth for your little one. However, knowing where to start and what to do can be challenging for sure. We can guide you on things that you can do from the start to assist in cultivating a positive environment.

Transition Feeding

We specialize in Baby-Led weaning, what foods to start at 6 months old, and more. You can schedule a consultation. There is a lot of information out there. Learn from the nutrition experts on what the plan method is for you and your little one.

Breast Feeding Support

Breastfeeding demands a lot on our bodies. Believe it or not, it takes more calories to make milk each day than to make a baby. We can provide a plan that keeps your body nourished and keep up your milk supply.

Toddlers + Kids

Picky Eating

Nutrition is crucial, but happy mealtimes and getting your child to eat how you want them to eat can be tough. So this is where our child nutrition experts step in. We work with the child directly to have them explore foods to expand their taste buds.

Healthy Eating

Learn just what nutrients are needed for your kiddos to keep them healthy and strong. We will create a customized plan for your child to meet their nutrition needs.

Anderson’s Nutrition was recommended to us by our pediatrician after my daughter Emma was diagnosed with Pica.  We had noticed that Emma, who was 4 at the time, had been eating dirt and chalk and she was beyond the years of normal toddler exploration.  What we later discovered is that she craved these non-food items because her iron levels were very low due to the high volume of milk she was drinking on a daily basis.  Our dietitian helped us map out a plan to drastically lower her intake of milk and replace it with the nutrients her body craved through balanced meals.  Emma’s diet has dramatically improved, and she no longer goes for non-food items. Our dietitian was extremely helpful, so easy to speak with, and great with kids.  I would highly recommend Anderson’s Nutrition.

Medical Conditions

GI Issues, Constipation, Celiac Disease

Often time little ones have issues with the stomach and bowel habits as they grow. Other times, there is a diagnosis that affects the food intake.

Allergies, Food Restrictions, Food Intolerances

Food allergies can be hard to manage. Ingredients are hidden and it makes meal planning very difficult.

Autism

Learn more about our Autism support for your kiddo on our page dedicated to Austim nutrition.

Failure to Thrive

Is your little one on the smaller side and your Pediatrician recommends increasing calories? You may have heard the term “failure to thrive” from your doctor. We can set up a plan that can assist your little one on getting back to the growth curve.

And more…

There are many more conditions and diseases that may affect the nutrition of your little one. Our certified Pediatric Dietitians can assist you by creating a plan that works for your little one and your family.

Healthy Eating Behaviors

As children & teens are still growing, this is a critical time to intervene before they go down a path that won’t benefit their future. We educate in a positive way to allow your teen to explore new foods and learn why it is important to have balance in their diet.

Influences that affect your tween or teen

Teens hear many different voices. These voices can come from the media, friends, and family members who each play a role in influencing a teenager. Most teens don’t feel comfortable in their bodies, are unsure of what is truly “healthy”, and have misconstrued views on healthy nutrition. Teens oftentimes feel comfortable and grow their confidence by working with a dietitian.

Knowing when to get help

Does your teen worry about their weight or talk negatively about their body or do you notice disordered eating habits or signs in your teen? Disordered eating and eating disorders are on the rise. Learn more from Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital. If you think your child has signs of disordered eating, you can schedule an evaluation for an assessment.

What can an RDN do for your child or teen?

Our trained experts will work to create realistic and customized goals to meet your child’s health goals. We use small changes, focusing on the why and how so that helping your child happens naturally.

In addition, they are mindful of the unique health concerns that may be present in children. Let our nutrition experts create a customized plan to help improve your child’s overall nutrition in a way that works for your family.

I reached out to Tammy and will continue to reach out to her for nutritional assistance for my children and especially for one specific child with not only ADHD, sensory integration disorder, she is also dairy intolerant and has celiac. So, this also makes it harder for her to absorb nutrients.

Tammy assisted me with helpful resources when shopping for gluten-free foods as my 4yo has Celiac. She assisted me when I would find natural nutrition support or ADHD support supplements online to add to my kids’ diets as I was unsure if she/they were getting enough especially my youngest, Tammy would take the time and research each one and gives me the pros and cons from a nutritionist perspective so I could make the best decision for my child/ren. She’s been amazing to work with always willing to talk things through with me.
