More than 30 years of experience walking alongside people making lifestyle changes has taught me that each person has a unique story which has shaped their health and a one-size fits all approach does not work. I have had the pleasure of working with people of all ages and many different health concerns.

Nicole’s Ideal Client

Nicole’s ideal client would be a person wanting to make change & become proactive with their health. Someone that is willing to make forward movement (no matter how big or small) physically, mentally, & behaviorally over time while giving themselves grace when life happens.

Progress over perfection wins every time.

Why is Nicole a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist?

Realizing an accounting degree was not in my future when I got a “D” in my first basic accounting course, I took a sports nutrition class because it sounded interesting. From there, I knew the path I wanted to take! I graduated from the University of Akron, in Ohio, moved to Michigan for my first job working in a hospital, and living the last 27 years in Montana also working in a hospital but with a variety of responsibilities including inpatient/outpatient care, nursing home care, cardiac/pulmonary rehab, and now most recently, working with people requiring dialysis. Nutrition plays a vital role in one’s health and I love helping people connect those dots in order to achieve their goals.

How does Nicole stay healthy?

Quality of life as I age is important to me, therefore fueling my body with food that is nourishing & exercising to remain functional are a few of the ways I try to achieve that. I have become better at listening to my body, especially when it tells me I need rest. I also practice what I preach, so progress over perfection, a lot of grace when life disrupts my routine, and having the mindset that there is no end date to lifestyle change are a few strategies that have been helpful.

What else should you know about Nicole?

My husband and I have been married for 27 years, we have two adult children, and I am a first-time “Grammy”. We have five dogs, two barn cats, & a lot of chickens. I love gardening and my newest endeavor is learning all things related to milling different grains & baking with fresh milled flour.
