Meet Gemma, your registered dietitian nutritionist

Gemma earned her Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics from West Chester University of Pennsylvania and completed her Master of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics and Dietetic Internship at University of Delaware.

Gemma loves to work with someone who is seeking a healthier lifestyle and is willing to put in the work to become the best version of themselves they can be! She sees herself as an accountability partner helping her clients achieve their goals and approaches her work with empathy and tries to put herself in other’s shoes. This opens her worldview and allows her to better connect with her clients.

Why is Gemma a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist?

Growing up, Gemma had a lot of health issues that were improved through dietary modifications. She always knew she wanted to help people. While she was a first year nursing student, she took a “Nutrition for Nurses” class and discovered the profession of dietetics. She decided to change majors and fell in love with nutrition and dietetics! Being a dietitian has allowed Gemma to continue her passion for helping people while also using her own experiences to help others!

How does Gemma stay healthy?

For Gemma, being healthy includes having a balanced lifestyle. She loves cooking, baking and gardening, where she loves growing fruits, vegetables and herbs. Additionally, Gemma grew up playing sports, so physical activity has always been an important part of her life. Currently her favorite ways to exercise include running, Pilates, and weightlifting. 

What else should you know about Gemma?

Gemma loves to read! As an avid reader, she is a member to her local library’s book club and you can always find her reading at least 3 different books at the same time. She was born and raised in Chester County, PA. A fun fact about Gemma, she was a collegiate track athlete! Her event was shot put.
