Alex attended Stony Brook University-School of Medicine in Long Island New York where she completed her dietetic internship. Alex worked at The Renfrew Center in Philadelphia for 2+ years. Alex values a “down-to-earth” style approach with her clients to help them find self-motivation and set realistic and attainable nutrition goals.

Alex uses a non-diet approach to help others prevent or treat disease. Her ideal client is willing to embrace a non-diet lifestyle and is open to practicing a mindful/intuitive eating approach towards nutrition.

Alex is one of our eating disorder dietitians, and participates in the Nourish program.

I am so thankful to have gotten the chance to meet and work with you! You are an amazing dietitian but somehow an even more amazing human being.

Why is Alex a registered dietitian nutritionist?

Alex has always been interested in health and nutrition and was passionate about helping others. She saw becoming a dietitian as a great way to incorporate both of those things! Growing up in an environment littered with diet culture, she saw many friends and family members struggle with their own relationship with food. In addition, she fell into diet culture herself when she was younger. The reason Alex chose this career path was so she could merge nutrition and counseling in a way that she could use evidence-based knowledge to help others improve their relationship with food and overall well-being.

I want individuals to learn that food can be fun and enjoyable!

How does Alex stay healthy?

Alex stays healthy by honoring her body’s cravings through intuitive eating and incorporating mindful and enjoyable movement. She enjoys eating ice cream no matter what season, and loves participating in group fitness classes at her local gym in West Chester. Alex believes that staying healthy is important. Not just physically, but mentally and emotionally as well.

What else should you know about Alex?

When Alex is not working, she enjoys hiking, bike riding, kayaking, paddle boarding, and more! Being in touch with nature and just getting outside is something very important in her overall health and well-being. She has 2 cats named Bo & Milo, and her goal is to travel to all 50 states and to visit all of the US National Parks (the first one visited was the Great Smoky Mountains National Park in Tennessee).
