Rachel Dodson RDN, LDN

Rachel received her bachelor’s degree in nutrition and dietetics at West Chester University. She completed her dietetic internship through Immaculata University where she is also completing her master’s of science in clinical nutrition. Rachel believes balanced nutrition and healthy living are multi-faceted and come down to more than food and exercise alone. She takes a non-diet approach to help clients make realistic and sustainable changes in order for them to achieve and maintain their nutrition goals. Rachel is passionate about walking alongside her clients as they seek to improve their overall health, prevent disease, and re-discover the joy of eating!

She enjoys meeting clients who are excited about pursuing whole health and implementing behavior changes. Health looks different for everyone and everyone’s journey looks different to get there. Her ideal client is someone who is open to taking a non-diet approach, including eating intuitively. Rachel loves helping clients simplify nutrition so they can achieve their goals in realistic ways in order to sustain positive lifestyle changes and make peace with food.

Why is Rachel a registered dietitian nutritionist?

“I pursued a career as a registered dietitian because I’m passionate about simplifying health, making nutrition sustainable, and helping others restore joy in their relationship with food and their bodies. I personally struggled to find the balance between food, exercise, and living a life that was fulfilling and enjoyable. The wellness world can be so loud telling you that you must follow rigid rules and maintain unrealistic routines in order to live a healthy life. Being on the other side of that battle, I want to help others quiet all the noise, no matter what life is throwing at them, in any given season. What we eat and how we take care of our bodies doesn’t need to feel so complicated. I ultimately became a registered dietitian to lead others on the path to discovering freedom with food and nutrition.”

How Rachel Stays Healthy

Rachel stays healthy by prioritizing sleep, focusing on meals that are nutrient dense and satisfying, and incorporating movement into her everyday life. Some days that looks like going for a jog or doing an online barre class. Other days that looks like going for a walk with a friend or on a leisurely bike ride. Rachel believes staying healthy means nourishing your body, mind, and soul.

What else should you know about Rachel?

Rachel lives in Pennsylvania and is the youngest of 3 children. Her favorite season is winter and loves cozy, snowy days. She loves to grab coffee at local cafés with friends. She spends her free time riding her bike, reading, walking and listening to her favorite podcasts, and baking. Her favorite foods to bake are baked oatmeal and cookies!
