Why is Andrea a registered dietitian nutritionist?
I’ve always been interested in healthy living and I enjoy helping others. I was originally an engineer but wanted to help people in a more meaningful way. I took my first nutrition class while still working as an engineer and I loved it. I’ve always liked trying healthier ways of eating and want to share my ideas.
How does Andrea stay healthy?
Andrea exercises almost every day – running, hiking, walking, fitness classes, or just enjoying the outdoors with her family. She also tries to feed her family healthy meals. She likes to try new recipes made in healthier ways, which her family does not always appreciate! They prefer when she makes desserts, like black bean brownies or quinoa chocolate cake.
What else should you know about Andrea?
She has a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and a Master’s in Human Nutrition from Arizona State University. She lives with her husband and 2 teenagers. They don’t have any pets, so Andrea volunteers at a cat shelter where she gets plenty of time to play and clean up after them!
