Our Registered Dietitian Nutritionists (RDNs) work with women in all stages of life. Whether you have a specific medical condition or have challenges due to your latest age and stage, we can help. Our counseling covers Hashimoto’s, PCOS, prenatal nutrition, postnatal nutrition and breastfeeding, peri and postmenopausal nutrition, and geriatric nutrition, in addition to other women’s health concerns.

  • Would you rate your health as fair or poor?
  • Have you been diagnosed with a medical condition such as Hashimoto’s, PCOS, diabetes, high cholesterol, or any other medical condition?
  • Are you a mom-to-be or a new mom navigating prenatal or postpartum nutrition?
  • Are you frustrated with postmenopausal weight gain?
  • Do you feel like there are changes you should be making in your nutrition lifestyle?

If you answered YES to any of these questions, you can benefit from our women’s health nutrition counseling. We will provide a unique nutritional assessment to include an in detail review of your medical history and any concerns, and create a personalized plan that works for YOU.

A balanced nutrition plan supports women’s health at any stage by increasing energy levels, decreasing the risk (or effects) of disease, and promoting well-being.

What People Are Saying

Hypothyroid & Pre-diabetes

I had a really great experience with Anderson Nutrition. My dietitian has been working with me for about 4 months to help me manage my blood sugar without making me feel like I had to go on some crazy diets or make extreme lifestyle changes right away. I would definitely recommend this team of nutritionists.

Life Changing during Menopause

My dietitian has changed my life and I am grateful. I started my journey with her when my doctor said I needed to do something about my health, I had hurt my back and put on 30 pounds.I had been a hiker and because of the back issue was unable to hike.

After eating better, losing 40 pounds, exercising with kettlebells, I can now hike 10 miles on hills. She has given me back what I love to do, HIKE. I can’t say thank you enough! I have referred two of my friends to her because it has been life-changing for me.

Breaking my Sugar Addiction

Anderson’s Nutrition helped me worked through my issues of emotional eating. She worked with me in setting short-term and long-term goals. She was a wonderful resource of information on substituting unhealthy foods with healthier options.

And, most importantly, she made me believe I was capable of permanent success. The biggest benefit I have received from being on this program is breaking my sugar addiction and eliminating my cravings for sweets.

PCOS

I started working with Anderson’s Nutrition a year ago after I was diagnosed with PCOS. Not only is my dietitian extremely knowledgeable about the science of nutrition but she has worked hard to help me learn more about why my eating habits may be off track and not optimal. Most importantly, she has given me tools to change at a deep level that is sustainable for lifetime health. I feel empowered and set free from restrictive dieting and binge eating.

Anderson’s Nutrition has helped me realize the value in any food that I consume. I will never diet again. Not only have I experienced sustainable weight loss, but my menstrual cycle has returned. The list could go on about all the amazing things I have experienced while working with my dietitian.

Common Medical Conditions

Hashimoto’s & Thyroid Conditions

Hashimoto’s is a common medical condition we run into within our practice. It affects about 5% of the population and is at least 8x more common among women than men. Low thyroid hormones can lead to high cholesterol, weight gain, constipation, muscle pain, and depression. Treatment of Hashimoto’s may include medication as well as dietary changes that will help the thyroid function as best it can and for you to manage your symptoms better.

Working with a dietitian is helpful so that you can identify nutrients of concern, plan out balanced meals, and know what to look out for. As a result, you’ll have more control over your symptoms.

Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS)

Did you know it’s estimated about 10 million women are managing PCOS? Yes, you heard that right! In addition, about half of these women are unaware that they have the condition. PCOS, a hormonal disorder, varies in symptoms, but commonly includes missed periods, hair growth, excess weight, infertility, hair loss, and insulin resistance.

These symptoms are not all-inclusive. Because many women with PCOS also have insulin resistance, they are at an increased risk for developing diabetes, at no fault of their own.

If you are dealing with PCOS, working with a dietitian can help you to better manage those symptoms. Your dietitian may go over how to balance carb/protein intake, certain nutrients to consider, and potential supplements to include so that you can FEEL GOOD!

Other Medical Conditions Among Women

While the two mentioned conditions are some of the most common conditions we run into particularly to women, there are many other medical conditions that may apply to you.

Whether you have high cholesterol, prediabetes or diabetes, high blood pressure, cancer, heart disease, autoimmune conditions, or mental health struggles, a dietitian can help you set up your nutrition plan so that you can manage your symptoms, feel energized, and potentially reverse disease.
